CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) -- NOAA weather radio is back
up and running. The service alerting people in times of severe weather had been
down since the beginning of November. Champaign County EMA tweeted a message
Monday saying service was back on. Crews replaced part of the transmitter over
the weekend. The tower is more than 400' in the air. High winds made it
dangerous for workers to get up there and fix it.
