The National Hurricane Center (NHC)
plans to broaden its forecasting capabilities by conducting four
in-house experiments in the upcoming season, including developing six-
and seven-day track projections.
The
other tests include extending the tropical weather outlook from two to
five days, developing advisories for disturbances before they become
tropical systems and issuing watches and warnings if disturbances threaten land.
