Rebuilding Tuscaloosa: Life after the tornadoes (Alejandra Delgado)

One year ago Leah Bromley was at her New York City apartment when she got a text from her mother in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. It read "I'm in the basement. I love you."
"I immediately got very frantic," Bromley says.
It was early in the morning on April 27, 2011, and the first round of severe weather was rolling through her hometown. Thankfully the early storms only knocked the power out and downed some trees near her childhood home, but she was glued to the television for the rest of the day as the threat of tornadoes persisted.http://articles.cnn.com/2012-04-26/us/us_iyw-rebuild-tuscaloosa_1_severe-weather-facebook-page-tornadoes?_s=PM:US
