DC: Storm to Impact Area Into Thursday
A storm with mostly rain will affect Washington, D.C. into Thursday.
A bit of sleet can be mixed in with the rain around the city into Tuesday morning.
Enough rain and wind can occur with the storm on Tuesday into Tuesday night to slow travel on the roadways and cause flight delays at area airports.
The interior Northeast is where the heaviest snow will fall.
"The threat for a heavy, wet snow will target parts of the Poconos and Catskills through northern New England," said AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Brian Thompson.
Initially, stubborn cold air will cause the rain to begin as snow and sleet toward Hagerstown, Maryland. Fresh cold air could bring wet snow back to these same areas and the nearby northern and western suburbs Wednesday night.
A couple of showers and rain and wet snow may be seen around the District of Columbia on Thursday.
At this early stage, it appears the weather for the Army-Navy game in Baltimore on Saturday will be dry with some sunshine and temperatures in the middle 40s, which is about seasonable for this time of the year.
