Spectacular Fall Foliage

Trees are starting to turn in Southern New Hampshire and experts are predicting a "Spectacular" season for fall foliage.  Due to the warm days and cool nights that the Eastern states have been experiencing this week, leaves are starting to change color.  Maple trees are said to be in extremely good health as well.

Due to Tropical Story Irene last year, tourism profits took a tumble because of the not so spectacular foliage turnout.  Above average rain falls, heat, and humidity, and also a large tree fungus break out also contributed to the terrible season last year.  Instead of the usual bright red and orange leaves, tourists were greeted with dying yellow and muted colored leaves.

Foliage tour guides, farmers, and hotel owners are so confident that this season will be lucrative, that they are not even worried about the ever rising gas prices to stop their customers from coming to see the  beauty of New England.
