Heavy rain, lightning and a severe
weather warning have disrupted Wednesday's Pro-Am event at the PGA
Tour's Zurich Classic, briefly forcing players and fans to take shelter
in the TPC Louisiana clubhouse.
Authorities briefly evacuated the course and temporary tents while the worst weather passed the New Orleans area.
For
about a half hour, the clubhouse restaurant and pro shop were jammed.
Some players retreated to the locker room. But others, including Jeff
Overton and 14-year-old Guan Tianlang, remained in the dining area where
some fans approached for a brief chat or handshake.
