There are several property damage reports in Kearney including the UNK Campus from an overnight storm.
Darrin Lewis, Director of Emergency Management for Buffalo County and Kearney, said no injuries were reported during the storm which rolled through the area Monday night.
Golf ball size hail, heavy rain and 70 mile per hour winds were just a part of the storm which hit just after 9:00 p.m.
Throughout Tuesday, University of Nebraska at Kearney facilities professionals and private contractors assessed the damage caused during the late night/early morning thunderstorm. Winds peeled back the roof to the Fine Arts Building and ripped off the roof of the Calvin T. Ryan Library. Rains then flooded the inside of the library.
