Storms to Slow Cleanup in Moore Through the Weekend

Severe thunderstorms will threaten ravaged Moore, Okla., through Thursday evening. Cleanup efforts will continue to be disrupted by occasional thunderstorms into the upcoming Memorial Day weekend.
By Friday, the front contributing to the severe weather will dissipate. However, lingering warmth and humidity will lead to additional thunderstorms, especially during the afternoon and evening. While a stronger thunderstorm cannot be ruled, the risk for severe weather will be low. Similar weather is on the way for the weekend.
By Memorial Day, the thunderstorm threat will finally end for the hard hit region. Memorial Day will feature sunshine mixed with clouds and highs in the lower 80s in Moore.
