Thunderstorm does damage in Lehigh

LEHIGH ACRES, FL -
Heavy rain and wind left one Lehigh Acres resident with a badly damaged car Thursday morning.
It started Monday about 3 p.m., a lightning strike from the thunderstorm hit a tree next door to April Devlin's home.
"It looked like it spiraled around and pieces of bark just like flew down the street, on the roof and in the neighbors yard across the street," Devlin said.
April knew the tree would eventually have to come down, but not the way it did last night.
"All of a sudden I heard this crack and this crunch. I walked out and behind the car the tree just toppled down and then just slammed right in the back of my car," Devlin said.
