ABILENE, Texas -
The Big Country, Concho Valley, and the Heartland witnessed numerous rounds of severe weather over the past five days.

Our roller coaster ride with the weather started last Wednesday when tornado warnings were issued by the mid afternoon just west of Abilene.
A land spout tornado captured by Scotty Bailey on his tractor happened that afternoon.
In addition to tornado warnings, multiple hail reports came in from across the Big Country, spanning from nickel size hail up to golf ball size.
Just two days later on Friday April 24th, severe storms were back again.
The National Weather Service storm survey team out of San Angelo confirmed that an EF-1 tornado touched down in Runnels County.
It was on the ground for eight and a half miles before letting up just a mile northwest of Novice in Coleman County. Along its path, the tornado snapped trees and even caused damage to some structures.
