A severe storm system moving across North Texas late Sunday and early Monday produced a number of damaging tornadoes, according to reports from the National Weather Service.
By Monday afternoon the NWS said it had identified eight tornadoes, including four separate tracks around the Rio Vista area, where the main supercell thunderstorm was located for several hours.
Each of the tornadoes was categorized as an EF-0, with wind speeds up to 85 mph.
Earlier Sunday, baseball-size hail was reported near Stephenville, about 70 miles southwest of Fort Worth.
