First measurable snowfall in Chicagoland area

Last Friday, the Chicagoland area experienced it's first measurable snowfall of the season. By 9am on Friday, some areas had already seen up to two inches of snowfall. While the suburbs experienced visible snowfall, closer into the city snowfall was not as visible. Flurries occurred, but O'Hare and Midway only received about .1-.3 inches of snow, while the Loop received almost none at all. The snow did cause slick road conditions, however. There was a reported crash on Route 41 that caused a Fedex truck to roll over.
