Several times a year a dust storm of titanic size blooms on Mars. These monster storms can cover thousands of square miles...and have even been known to blanket the entire planet. (Courtesy Ron Miller)

Dust storms that cover thousands of square miles. Heavy snowfall in temperatures that reach 200 degrees below zero. Swirling dust devils that sometimes grow into monster tornadoes, filling the atmosphere with fine pink dust that reddens the sky.

Where can weather phenomena like this be found? On Mars, which like Earth has an atmosphere with seasonal cycles, as well as volcanoes, deserts and polar ice regions.
