NWS issues tornado watch for portions of Southeastern NC

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A powerful and moisture laden storm system will track through the Carolinas Tuesday night and depart the region Wednesday. The system will bring significant rain and even a chance for severe thunderstorms.
TUESDAY NIGHT: Showers will remain likely and locally strong or severe thunderstorms will remain possible. Main threats with any such storms: damaging winds, tornadoes. Temperatures will hover mainly in the 60s amid variable and gusty winds.
WEDNESDAY: Showers and thunderstorms will gradually exit. Two-day storm total rainfall of 1 to 3 inches is expected. Temperatures will remain steady in the 60s early and fall back through the 50s late. North and / or west winds could gust more than 30mph at times. 
THANKSGIVING DAY: Happy Thanksgiving! Expect drier and chillier conditions to return with morning low temperatures around 30 and afternoon high temperatures likely in the 40s.  Skies: sunny or partly sunny.
