Nice Monday, rain returns this week

While tornadoes and severe weather has been affecting lower Mississippi and severe weather hitting other portions of the US, Boston has been enjoying relatively nice weather than it is use to.  Yesterday's tornadoes broke the 4th longest period without significant tornadoes in the spring, it was been a quiet April in terms of severe weather due to the cool air coming from Canada overpowering the warm and humid air in the southern part of the US.  While this is happening around the country, Boston is having severe thunderstorms.  The heaviest rain will hit mostly in the south of the Massachusetts Turnpike.  The track of the rainfall will determine if southern New England receives an inch of rain or closer to 2 to 3 inches of rain.  If the latter occurs it would create more issues with possible floods but currently there hasn't been enough rainfall this spring to cause major floods in rivers.
