Abrupt Spring Cool down

A great cool down has swept the midwest and northeast. This cool down is due to upper level trough, dragging the Canadian air downward. The weather is cool enough to bring snow in some locations.
Meanwhile, parts of North Dakota woke up to temperatures in the teens Wednesday morning. Daily record lows were set Wednesday in Pierre, South Dakota (19), Aberdeen, South Dakota (15), and Sioux City, Iowa (24). Wednesday's high in at the National Weather Service office outside Marquette, Michigan in Negaunee Township (26) was the coldest so late in the season, there, more typical of high temperatures in mid-February.
Early Thursday afternoon, scattered snow showers were observed in parts northern Pennsylvania and Upstate New York with temperatures in the 30s and wind chills in the 20s. Snow flurries were reported in the Boston area on Friday morning.
Temperatures dropped into the 40s on Friday morning as far south as Atlanta and record low temperatures were set in Toledo, Ohio (23), Flint, Michigan (24), Grand Rapids, Michigan (25) and Cleveland, Ohio (27). Chicago tied their record low of 29DEGREES.
