Tornado watch

Tornado watches are currently being issued in Texas, Louisiana and Kansas. This severe weather outbreak will last through Saturday.

  • A tornado warning has been issued for Tarrant County, Texas until 7:00 p.m. CDT.
  • A tornado warning has been issued for southern suburbs of Dallas-Fort Worth, including Midlothian, Red Oak and Waxahachie until 7:15 CDT.
  • Twin tornadoes were spotted moving into Scott County, Kansas, with a pitcure posted to Twitter at 5:24 CDT. Spotters confirmed a tornado near Luray, KS at 5:58pm CDT.
  • A tornado was confirmed 11 miles south of Modoc, Kansas at 5:20 p.m. CDT.
  • Spotters reported a tornado near Fairport, Kansas at 5:02 p.m. CDT.
  • The first reported tornado of the day touched down briefly over open country west of Novice, Texas, at 3:45 p.m. CDT. A second tornado was reported at Lake Coleman in west-central Texas at 4:05 p.m. CDT.
  • A severe thunderstorm blew two 18-wheelers onto their sides on Interstate 10 near Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, Friday afternoon.
  • That same storm dropped hail up to the size of baseballs in Breaux Bridge as well as nearby Catahoula, Louisiana, shortly after 3:30 p.m.
  • Roof damage was reported early Friday afternoon on Main Street in Childress, Texas, due to strong thunderstorm winds.
  • Numerous trees are down across Cross Plains, Texas, including some which came down on cars
  • Flash flooding was reported early Friday morning in Rio Grande City, Texas with more than 20 streets flooded.
  • Flooding was also reported in Bastrop County, Texas, Friday morning. A Lower Colorado River Authority rain gauge near Smithville recorded 4.31 inches of rain.
