Weather Delays Picnic

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The weather is delaying a popular circus event in Charleston.
The "Pachyderm Picnic & Celebrity Chef Competition" is now set for Thursday, April 23 at 1:30 p.m. along the Clendenin Street mall entrance. The event was originally planned for Wednesday, but with the rain in the forecast organizers decided to change it.
During the event, female Asian elephants will enjoy some special Earth Day treats, including fruit and vegetables and loaves of wheat bread.
Before the elephants enjoy their brunch, celebrity chefs, including WSAZ's Amanda Barren will compete Iron Chef-Style as each creates a special diet.
Ringling Bros, and Barnum & Bailey is in town April 23-26 at the Charleston Civic Center.
