Big Weather Changes Coming This Weekend in the Upper Midwest and Northeast

Weather changes that will be welcomed by many, including drier and cooler conditions, are ahead for the upper Midwest and Northeast.

Ahead of this system, warm and humid conditions will persist in the Northeast while rain and thunderstorms will continue to develop near the frontal system. There will be ample moisture ahead of this cold front that will result in locally heavy rainfall.

By the weekend, the front will have pushed southeastward off the East Coast, and high pressure will build into southeastern Canada.
