Severe Weather Forecast: Midwest Tornado Threat Ramping Up; Flash Flooding in Southwest, Southeast

Flash flooding remains the number-one weather concern in the U.S., but that will begin to change later Tuesday as a potent cold front begins its sweep into the Midwest, potentially setting off tornadoes and severe thunderstorms.
The flash flood threat will persist in the Desert Southwest and parts of the East Coast through Tuesday.
Flash flooding has already been reported in both areas. Water came up to the roofs of cars in Riverside, California Sunday, and swamped freeways in Nevada and Arizona Monday. Flooding struck the Norfolk, Virginia, area on Monday afternoon.
