The Charlotte region got a second serving of severe weather Monday – part of a line of storms that extended from Georgia to Philadelphia.
The storms, which sparked tornado and flash flood warnings, dropped hail and other precipitation over a wide swath of the N.C. Piedmont, and knocked down trees in Mecklenburg and Gaston counties. A tornado was reportedly spotted in Chester, S.C.
