Crippling Light Snow alejandro arreola

Seasonal snowfall records in Detroit, Toledo, Columbus, and Billings, Montana, were quite impressive, but only a tiny fraction of that snowfall crippled several southern cities.
A combination of temperatures well below freezing, falling snow and heavy traffic turned freeways into unnavigable ice rinks in Atlanta and Birmingham, Alabama, during Winter Storm Leon. Commutes that would typically take 30 minutes took in excess of 20 hours for some. Abandoned cars littered streets and freeways.
