This article was about recent flooding in Columbia, South Carolina. After reading this I just feel awful for the people who lost their homes due to flooding. It just made me realize how much damage a flood can cause to a community. It is sad that this was not in their control at all. They were just minding their business one day and due to hazardous weather lost their homes and had no where to live. It always makes me wonder is there any more prevention we can take if there is a flood coming? Any way to prepare so the damage is not as bad?
