Millions of Americans could be affected this week by a severe weather threat, including tornadoes, heavy rain and strong winds, NBC Chicago reported.
The severe weather stems from high winds from from colliding air masses, including a hot, humid air and a cold front from the West, NBC 5 Chicago reported Monday, citing the Storm Prediction Center and National Weather Service.
Missouri, southern Illinois and northern Arkansas face the biggest threat, the station said, though the threat stretches from San Antonio to Chicago to Cincinnati.
