"Locally heavy rain in the Spartanburg, South Carolina area late Wednesday and into early Thursday prompted reports of flash flooding," said weather.com meteorologist Linda Lam. "Rain has fallen in this area every day since last Thursday and more rain is expected through Monday. Extremely heavy rainfall is possible this weekend with more than six inches of additional rain expected, leading to a potentially dangerous situation."

This article was about a flood in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The flood was so bad that a death of one person was a result of it. A woman was trapped underneath a bride in her car due to all of the flood water. The flood was a result of the storm Joaquin that was coming to the eye of the storm in the Atlantic Ocean. Because of this storm the east coast was hit with flooding. There were many people who were trapped underneath a bridge that was washed away. Thankfully there was only one death, there could have been a lot more. One man was rescued who was trapped due to the bridge being washed away.

This article also mentioned many other states on the east coast that were impacted by the flooding and what conditions they were in.
