Place In Venezuela That Experiences 1.2 Million Lightning Strikes a year

There is a place in Catatumbo, Venezuela where they experience 1.2 Million Strikes of lightning every year. The lightning can be seen from 250 miles away and lights up the sky different colors due to dust particles and water vapor in the atmosphere. Colors of Oranges, blues, reds and, purples have been seen during the lightning show. The lightning is said to be the largest producer of tropospheric ozone in the entire world.
A lot of people like to believe that it is helping save the ozone lawyer however that has yet to be proven to be true. Every year many scientist travel to Catatumbo, Venezuela to try and investigate the lightning. There are many reasons and theories behind the reason for the lightning however the exact cause is still unknown.
