The first round of severe weather will fire up Monday along a cold front. Additional strong to severe storms will then be possible Tuesday into Wednesday as the tail end of that front stalls and a new low-pressure system develops.
NOAA's Storm Prediction Center has issued the following watch area:
- A severe t-storm watch is in effect until 8 p.m. CDT for parts of southern Wisconsin and far northeast Iowa. This watch area includes Milwaukee and Madison.
- A tornado watch is in effect until 10 p.m. CDT for parts of east-central and southeast Iowa and extreme northwest Illinois. This watch area includes Davenport, Iowa, and Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
