Severe weather made its way through Massachusetts Sunday, leaving behind heavy damage to some communities.
Downed trees were reported in Western Massachusetts, along with parts of eastern Massachusetts. The photo below was taken by fire officials in Salisbury. The tree damaged the roof, but thankfully no one was injured.
One tree fell on a car in Malden with a husband and wife inside. The husband was bruised and taken to the hospital to be treated. The wife was not injured.
Severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for Worcester, Essex and Middlesex counties until 10:15 a.m., but were then extended until 11 a.m. and included Norfolk and Plymouth counties. Storms impacted eastern Massachusetts towards the later part of Sunday morning.
