The pacific has been very active and because of it now two hurricanes are headed towards the state of Hawaii. Hurricane Madeline is expected to be a category 3 while Hurricane Lester is expected to be a category 4 .

"Hurricane Madeline was a major category 3 hurricane Monday morning (Honolulu time) with sustained winds of 115 mph. According to the Central Pacific Hurricane Center in Honolulu, Madeline is expected to continue its westward track, bringing rain as early as Tuesday night. Tropical storm-force to hurricane-force winds may occur on the Big Island Wednesday afternoon into Thursday."

"Hurricane Lester was a major category 4 hurricane with sustained winds of 130 mph. The National Hurricane Center in Miami said Lester will likely strengthen over open Pacific waters before gradually weakening as the storm draws closer to Hawaii. The NHC's forecast is for Lester to continue west, then begin to shift northwest, possibly passing just north of the Big Island this weekend."
