A reported 20.2 in at O'hare fell in Chicago on February 1st 2011. Many people were left stranded in buses and cars. The picture above shows Lake Shore Drive the morning after. People were forced to leave their vehicles because of the snow. This blizzard was "the third-largest in Chicago history, according to the weather service." According to the article, a couple hundred cars were stuck in the northbound lanes of Lake Shore Drive the evening of February 2nd. Firefighters drove snowmobiles through the snowstorm in efforts to help stranded commuters.
