These tropic twisters are set up in a perfect environment to form, rotating storms, uplift from winds, wind shear, and definitely moisture. An important note to keep in mind, these tornadoes act just like their cousins on the plains. It is much more likely for one to form off of a storm that has branched off rather than a mass of storms. This is because a lone storm is more unstable, free to act as crazy as they please.

Don't believe me? Well, Hurricane Harvey was reported to have spawned more than three dozen confirmed tornadoes while Irma produced nine. Though, many of Irma's tornadoes began on the water, spinning like wild tops until they crashed on Florida's shore.
Tornadoes are fast and furious, even more so than Vin Diesel. They come with very little warning (around 10-15 minutes) and speed around at rates of 60 MPH. The best thing to do is get low, put as many walls between you and the outside, and evacuate ahead of time as possible. Hurricane protection advice wants you to stay high and out of the wind while tornadoes protection wants you as low as possible. It is important to do what you can when you can.
