Hurricane Irma: Kicking us While We're Down

With the tragedy of Hurricane Harvey still raging every day, it seems that this is the worse it can get for our planet.  Unfortunately, this is not the case.  A new threat has surfaced, and this time it takes place in the Caribbean Islands, Cuba, and Southern Florida.  Hurricane Irma has already been categorized as a level five storm.  As Harvey was considered a level four storm, many cant begin to imagine the damage that will be caused by Hurricane Irma.

The real danger of this hurricane is the strong winds coming in at a maximum of 185 miles per hour.  This will make it the second strongest next to Hurricane Allen which came to about 190 miles per hour.  Florida and a few of the islands have already called a mandatory evacuation.  Governor Rick Scott of Florida says that "weather can change in an instant, and while we hope for the best, we must prepare for the worst".  With these two weather events happening back-to-back, the United States and Caribbean Islands will really need all the help they can get.  While we do not know the exact path of this new storm, we can only hope that those near it are prepared for such an event.
