(MIAMI)- Hurricane Irma has hit the southwest of Florida on Sunday morning, with winds up to 150 mph, leaving thousands without power and destroying everything in its path.
There have been mass evacuations, cranes crashing down over the Miami skyline, power shortages over thousands of households and homes being torn apart by the strong winds of Irma. Six people have died in Florida due to Irma, which is the last AP update. Overall, the death toll is 10 deaths from Florida, Georgia and South Carolina, according to officials.
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) have stated that the Hurrican Irma will make its way to Georgia Monday night and then continue to head to Alabama Tuesday morning. However, the hurricane is now categorized as a Tropical Storm with 45 mph wind. It will still cause damages to homes, but everyone affected by Hurricane Irma have the support and prayers of many.
