There's a chance some in north Alabama will see a little snow tonight -- but likely not much.
The widespread rain that covered much of Alabama on Saturday has shifted out of the area on Sunday, but scattered showers and drizzly weather is expected to continue through today, according to the National Weather Service.
It'll be another chilly, raw, day with temperatures only in the 40s in north and parts of central Alabama.
It's tonight when things could get interesting.
A few upper-level disturbances are forecast to move across the state tonight and into Monday, which will increase rain chances as temperatures drop overnight, forecasters said.
The National Weather Service in Huntsville said rain could mix with or change over to snow at times overnight, and it could continue into the daytime hours before turning back to rain.
Ground temperatures are too warm for any snow to stick around, however, and "little to no accumulation" is expected, according to forecasters.
A few flurries will be possible in the northeast part of central Alabama overnight as well, according to the weather service in Birmingham.
Accumulations aren't expected there either, forecasters said.
The same thing is not out of the question on Monday evening as well, the weather service said.
But again, no accumulation is expected.
