Tornado with 100-mph winds downs trees in New Port Richey: National Weather Service

A brief EF-1 tornado touched down in New Port Richey, FL (Dec. 9, 2018) uprooting trees, knocking down power lines and causing minor property damage.

Forecasters say it was about 25 yards wide, traveling about one-tenth of a mile at 90-100 mph before dissolving about a minute later.
