Met: Heed weather warnings before going out to sea
MIRI: Fishermen are advised not to head out to sea if the Malaysian Meteorological Department (Met Malaysia) issues first, second and third category warnings during the current Northeast Monsoon season.
A spokesperson from Met Malaysia Sarawak said the start of the Northeast Monsoon has resulted in sea conditions becoming slightly more turbulent.
He told The Borneo Post when contacted that fishermen and civilians alike can get updated weather information across the country via channels provided by the department.
“In addition to our website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, the public can also download the MyCuaca application on their mobile phone to know the weather condition.
