Horrifying conditions for Britain

UK weather forecast: Britain put on ‘SNOW ALERT’ as horrifying winter conditions return

Frosty air from Iceland will cause temperatures to plunge to -5C. While temperatures are predicted to be around average for the time of year, it will feel much colder due to the wind. The cold air will continue until Thursday before temperatures are set to rise again.

The sudden freeze will be accompanied by strong winds of up to 60mph and could result in “disruptive snowfall”.
Describing the conditions for Monday, Met Office meteorologist Becky Mitchell said: “It’s going to be a cold start to the week with a touch of frost pretty much right across the country.
